What is a first look? This has been frequently asked by our brides and grooms. As photographers, we set up a first look moment for the couple to meet each other for the first time before the wedding ceremony. Sometimes the couple would have photographers to pick a discrete location where the families and friends are away so that they enjoy the private moment to see each other in wedding gown and suit. Ok, but some couples would love to have their wedding party witness the moment, that's totally fine:)

The photographers will have the groom look away while the bride walks towards him. Usually the bride would tap the groom's shoulder and the groom turns around to see the beautiful bride for the first time. The photographers capture his reaction when he sees her. This short session is usually followed by some romantic couple portraits and wedding party photos. 

Having been shooting weddings for so many years, our photographers are always being asked about wedding timeline for photography. Truly, the wedding experience depends on whether the timeline is well framed or not. And Los Angeles is such a diverse region where different cultures have different ways to celebrate so this article is not a steadfast schedule for everybody but a general guideline for couples to consider frame their wedding.  We hope these tips from our photographers' perspective be useful for our brides and grooms. 

The FIRST Kiss as husband and wife - this is no doubt one of the most important photo moments on your big day. Our brides all want to post this photo on Instagram and Facebook to share their happiness with the whole world. But this happens in just about a second during the ceremony. For seasoned professional photographers, it is still challenging to capture a gorgeous first kiss photo. ​Who doesn't love the amazing bouquets on the wedding day? We usually took pictures after pictures of these wonderfully arranged bouquets, whether they're made of flowers, feathers, brooches, or whatever else our brides used to create for the big day. Bouquets are one of the prettiest details on our shooting list. We can't miss a nice shot for them.

Intro to Wedding Poses

Most of our clients may love candid and spontaneous shots for weddings, but good posing can be a BIG plus to couple shot session - usually taken after ceremony. Our couples sometimes feel awkward and clumsy at the first half of the shooting but towards the end of the wedding, they feel relaxed and often can do much better. 

So here are some good poses we'd to share with couples who want to improve their poses. Slight adjustments can light up the mood of the photo:)

1. Formal Close Stand
This is one of the formal poses you must have. The couple stand side-by-side facing the camera. Make sure your bodies touch closely and comfortably place the hands and feet. You can either look at the camera or look at each other.
